AN INVITATION TO MEET CACAO

Chocolate
has an origin.

A seed carries its place with it. The land, the season, a grower’s knowledge and the ferment all leave their mark.

Cacao Mission is exploring a world of cacao to bring distinctive origins to Australia, one chocolate at a time.

THE IDEA01 / 04

Cacao isn’t
one flavour.

Different cacao plants grow in different places, tended by people with their own ways of farming and fermenting. That variety is what we want to bring closer.

What shapes the taste?
01

Genetics

The character carried by the cacao plant.

02

Place

Soil, shade, climate and the growing season.

03

Growing

Knowledge shaped through generations of practice.

04

Fermentation

Careful work after harvest that develops flavour.

A NARROW BELT. MANY PLACES.

Start with where.

Cacao grows in warm regions around the equator. Each mark opens an illustrative place Cacao Mission may explore. They are not supplier locations.

A DIFFERENCE YOU CAN TASTE

One fruit.
A world of notes.

Some cacao can lean toward bright fruit; other cacao may feel mellow, floral or deep. Variety begins with the seed and keeps changing through growing, fermentation and craft.

We’ll let the cacao speak for itself—with clear origin and process details when each lot is confirmed.

CACAO IS CULTIVATED, NOT DISCOVERED

The people behind every origin.

Every harvest reflects skill: choosing when to pick, tending trees, and knowing how to ferment and dry the beans. Cacao Mission intends to build direct relationships with family farms, small growers and cooperatives as the work takes shape.

We’ll share the people, place and practices behind each origin when those relationships are real and the details are confirmed.
